Beginners and experience players of all ages will enjoy the informative and encouraging teaching style of Matt Black.

Matt has been a Double Bass Tutor in Lancashire for many years, often teaching privately in Lancaster and in schools across the county. He draws upon his own background as a qualified musician (BA Hons) and as an experienced performing player to enrich the content of his lessons.

Students can learn from scratch, choosing whether or not to follow a modern and contemporary graded syllabus. Alternatively more experienced players can receive lessons on technique and genre specific styles.

For those Bass Players who are accomplished and comfortable players, there are lessons in Music Theory. Learn to read notation and write music by understanding the harmony of music.
