October 2009
Had a great time playing for ‘The American Four Tops’ on Blackpool’s North Pier. Wonderful show and great music! Strange performing in the North Pier, it’s like being back on sea! Been busy with ‘Discodelic’ feel the run up tp Christmas is starting up!

September 2009
Busy month for ‘Round Midnight’, ‘The Hustle’ and ‘Discodelic’ but thankfully unlike buses, two haven’t arrived at the same time.  Also found time to take part in ‘The Great North Run’, had Latin music pumping on the mp3 player.  If I’m not distracted I realise how difficult running 13.1 miles is!

August 2009
Brilliant summer, shame about the sun! Been busy recording with a few projects. Also transcribing new material for my Latin group ‘Poco Besos’. I depped for ‘Lune Valley Vintage Jazz Band’ haven’t played with the guys for years. Great to play some trad jazz!

June 2009
Don’t you just love the sunshine! Perfect time to be playing weddings and I’m off to Glastonbury Festival at the end of the month. Ahh there’s normally a bit of rain when I go there. Playing in a brand new 10 piece soul band, just the beginning yet so watch this blog!

May 2009
It’s back to being busy all the bands are playing, particularly ‘Round Midnight’. I’m DJing with ‘Discodelic’ lots to, parties and weddings. I played in a  performance of Karl Jenkins ‘The Armed Man’, it went very well, such a wonderful score. Looking forward to a busy June and hopefully some sun!

April 2009
What is it with April? Not a girl but the month! Always a little quite in this month. Can’t complain though had my regular gigs and .  .  . a HOLIDAY! Brill time in a remote little cottage in Wales. Peace and quiet needed before May begins.

March 2009
Wow been very busy with the bands I play in. Gigging every few days with either ‘Round Midnight’ or ‘The Hustle’.
I played bass guitar for a very rewarding show at ‘Preston Guild Hall’ for ‘Lancashire Music Service’, ‘Sing Up’ and ‘More Music’, raising money for ‘Derian House’. Called ‘Sing Up for Your Friends’ it was a concert featuring 22 primary schools singing as one choir, as well as individual school performances. Conducted by Jo McNally, the children did a wonderful and high-quality performance. Real feel good moments.

February 2009
Created my own group called ' Poco Besos', hot salsa music and great musicians. Been dancing Salsa for a while now, though I can't seem to combine playing and dancing!!!! We're the house band for, Salsa Supervova, November 2009, @ Lancaster Town Hall , Dalton Square, Lancaster. LA1 1PJ. Contact www.lancastersalsa.co.uk for more info.

January 2009
Touch wood, all the bands I play in are gigging regulary. New blues band 'Hustle' are doing more, brill having freedom on the electric bass. My show on Diversityfm is doing well. More people are contacting me and I've finally started to feel comfortable creating and presenting 'The Jazz Reprise'.

January 2009
Brand new year and brand new me. Diary 2009 nicely starting to fill up.
Played New Years Eve for a wedding, unique for me!

November/December 2008
‘Tis the busy season to be a musician!’ With all the parties and celebrations I’ll be happy for the break. DJing a lot more this year as well!

November 2008
Playing a couple of shows in Blackpool for an Elvis impersonator, I hear there aren’t that many around? Should be a good gig though, great music and musicians.

November 2008
‘The Guns of Navarone’ is an authentic Ska band I play guitar in. We are playing at the famous ‘New Beehive’ in Bradford. We’ve been given free tickets to watch Jools Holland play down the road in the city centre. Apparently we’re his after show party band! The sceptic in me thinks ‘I’ll believe it when I see it’. Hope I’m wrong!

July/August 2008
I have performed in Liverpool's Playhouse Theatre for the great new musical
'Once Upon a Time at the Adelphi' - based on the famous Liverpool hotel and it's Hollywood past. The show was specifically commissioned to celebrate Liverpool becoming the European capital of culture.

May/June 2008
I've enjoyed playing double bass on Blackpool’s North Pier with a large group called ‘Five Star Swing’. Big Band all the way!!!!

April 2008
Working with American Four Tops (Soul Satisfaction) again. I originally toured around Ireland with them in 2006 and many gigs around the U.K. since.

April 2008
Played bass in ‘Les Misérables’, wow long show but enjoyed it! Playing another show at the same place in June, ‘Salad Days’.

February 2008
Busy playing with a mate down in London. We met doing a show and he was my MD, doing a few corporate parties together.

December 2007
Touring the U.K. and Ireland with ‘Christmas Crooners’ a show created by ‘Theatre Productions’. It’s all those Christmas classics we all know and love. I’ll truly be in the Christmas spirit when the main day arrives!!!!!
