I perform professional on both the Double Bass and Electric Bass. I mainly earn my living from professional shows and groups, I learnt from an early age that I wanted to be a sight-reading rhythm section player and have worked hard to continually better myself in this area ever since. I have just returned to the North West after years performing around the globe. I am now delighted to be back living in such a beautiful part of the U.K

Rather than a full C.V. I'll give a quick synopsis:- (C.V. available by request.)

I learnt to play the guitar at an early age, inspired by my older brother learning the piano, in fact we used to perform locally together even in our early teens. Although I progressed to the Bass, the guitar is still an instrument I enjoy playing and teaching. It wasn't long after falling in love with the bass that I fell in love with the sounds of Soul, Funk and especially Jazz.

Before long I found myself studying Jazz in a fantastic course at ‘Leeds College of Music’, happily gaining a Bachelor of Arts honours degree - BA (Hons). Whilst at Leeds I worked hard earning money by performing in bands and ensembles. I would be playing hard rock and blues one night and performing in a classical ensemble the next - ever since I've had an enjoyment and appreciation of musical diversity and I am comfortable performing in many styles.

After completing my degree, I wanted to practice as a full time musician, I am a bass player and all I want to do (career wise) is play bass. Lucky enough I was offered an opportunity to travel the world performing, every day saw me playing for different acts, again in a wide and challenging variety of musical disciplines. The experience I gained was invaluable; it’s one thing studying/ practicing and another executing.

I've since completed my travels and now I am busy establishing myself further in the U.K. I work with a number of different groups and often travel further afield to take part in larger musical productions and tours.

As a professional I constantly challenge myself to improve and develop, I'm never satisfied until I'm 100% confident I've achieved the goal. I love what I do!
